Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. is seeking a Principal Solution Architect to combine deep GIS and platform architecture expertise with strategic business growth.

Lead design and deployment of enterprise GIS solutions while actively pursuing opportunities and building client relationships. You will guide cross-functional teams, drive adoption of emerging geospatial technologies, and contribute to proposals to expand our geospatial capabilities across industries.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering/Geoinformatics or related field.
10+ years of GIS system design and architecture experience.
Experience installing and maintaining enterprise Esri environments.
Cloud-based and cloud-native architecture design experience.
Experience in business development within geospatial technology sector.
Experience designing and implementing GIS software
Experience in utilities and/or distributed asset-based solutions
Experience in integration with EAM (SAP or Maximo), OT Systems (ADMS, OMS)
Ability to translate business requirements to a proposed technical solution.
Ability to lead teams of software developers, GIS analysts, and junior architects on large, multi-workstream programs.
Ability to execute all phases of the custom solution delivery process (design/build/test/release/support).
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

GIS System Architecture: Lead the architectural design and implementation of enterprise-level GIS solutions on VM and cloud platforms.
Integrations: Lead or assist with integrating enterprise GIS systems with Maximo, SAP, or ADMS.
Enterprise GIS Administration: Deploy ESRI stack components across client environments with high availability.
Client Engagement: Act as a technical liaison with client IT and business leads; conduct presentations and workshops.
Business Development: Identify new opportunities; build client relationships and publish technical content.
Proposal Development: Collaborate with the proposals team to ensure technical solutions meet client needs.
