Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. is seeking a Lead Solution Architect with deep expertise in enterprise GIS architecture to lead design and implementation of GIS solutions for utility projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Geography, Geoinformatics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience with enterprise GIS system design and architecture.
• Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining enterprise Esri environments.
• Experience designing and implementing cloud based and cloud native architectures.
• Experience designing and implementing GIS software; experience in utilities and distributed asset-based solutions.
• Experience in integration with EAM (SAP or Maximo), OT Systems (ADMS, OMS).
• Ability to translate business requirements to a proposed technical solution.
• Ability to lead teams of software developers, GIS analysts, and junior architects on large, multi-workstream programs.
• Ability to execute all phases of the custom solution delivery process (design/build/test/release/support).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• GIS System Architecture: Lead architectural design and implementation of enterprise GIS solutions on VM and cloud platforms.
• Integrations: Lead or assist with integrating GIS with Maximo, SAP, or ADMS.
• Enterprise GIS Administration: Deploy Esri components in client environments with high availability.
• Performance Testing and Capacity Planning: Develop testing plans for capacity planning.
• Client Engagement: Present solutions to client IT and business leads; run workshops and demos.
• Proposal Development: Help create proposals and bid responses aligning with client needs.
