Job summary

Coalition, Inc. is seeking an experienced Underwriter to drive profitable business from a select broker group and partner with the Sales organization.

You will underwrite and manage enterprise-sized clients while serving as a trusted partner to brokers and customers, guiding pricing and risk decisions. The role requires deep cyber and Tech E&O expertise, strong broker engagement, and the ability to navigate senior-level conversations.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of underwriting experience, including cyber and Tech E&O for large production accounts.
• Experience underwriting enterprise accounts (~$1B+ revenue) and maintaining profitable books.
• Ability to translate complex cyber risks into underwriting decisions and pricing.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and manage Coalition’s largest and most complex new and renewal accounts in line with guidelines and carrier requirements.
• Shape portfolio strategy by managing broker relationships responsible for placing large accounts.
• Maintain disciplined underwriting files, documentation, and internal tooling usage.
• Lead complex pricing, terms, structures, and exceptions in coordination with CPU.
• Serve as Coalition’s senior underwriting face for priority brokers and executive-level discussions.
• Mentor other underwriters to raise underwriting discipline and broker communication.
• Represent Underwriting in cross-functional strategy discussions on portfolio growth and product evolution.
• Collaborate with security, Claims, Product, Actuarial, and CPU to address risk issues and translate technical considerations into decisions.
• Regular travel for senior broker relationships, client meetings, and market leadership activities.
