Job summary

Coalition, Inc. is seeking an experienced underwriter to drive profitable growth with broker partners, focusing on enterprise clients (~$1B+ revenue). You will underwrite, manage accounts, and align with risk appetite and carrier requirements, while guiding a portfolio strategy.

The role is remote and can be based anywhere in the Central US, with a strong preference for the Greater Chicago area; substantial travel to manage senior broker relationships and client meetings is expected.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of underwriting experience, including cyber and Technology E&O, with complex production underwriting.
• Experience underwriting large/enterprise accounts (~$1B+ revenue) and profitable book management.
• Ability to translate risk into pricing and portfolio impact for senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and manage Coalition’s largest, most complex new and renewal accounts.
• Shape portfolio strategy through broker relationship management for top accounts.
• Maintain disciplined underwriting files and governance aligned with workflows.
• Lead negotiations on pricing, terms, and exceptions in coordination with CPU.
• Serve as senior underwriting face to priority brokers and flagship clients.
• Mentor underwriters to elevate underwriting discipline and broker communication.
• Collaborate cross-functionally on portfolio optimization and market growth.
• Partner with security, Claims, Product, Actuarial, and CPU on complex risk issues.
• Travel regularly for senior broker relationships and market leadership activities.
