Job summary

ENERCON Services, Inc. seeks a Principal Engineering Project Manager to lead data center projects, develop detailed proposals, and manage schedules, risk, and finances for successful delivery.

You will oversee engineers, designers, and subcontractors, drive client satisfaction through clear communication and high-quality results, and coordinate with cross-functional teams on hyperscale initiatives while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or PMP certification with 10+ years in engineering consulting, project management, or data center.
• Minimum 6 years of experience as a project manager or engineer with an engineering consulting firm doing data center projects.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Experience with hyperscale data centers as a consultant is required.
• Proficient in cost estimates, proposal development and review; able to report on scope, schedule, and cost.
• Strong coordination, organizational, and presentation skills; travel 10–15%.

Responsibilities

• Client & Team Relations: maintain professionalism and foster strong relationships with clients and teammates.
• Project Leadership: lead projects with technical colleagues to develop proposals, manage schedules, and execute recovery plans.
• Project Planning & Execution: create work plans, risk strategies, communications plans, and WBS for smooth execution.
• Scheduling & Financial Management: oversee schedules, apply scheduling tools, and manage project financial health.
• Team & Resource Management: manage engineers, designers, and subcontractors and ensure quality deliverables.
• Client & Business Development: sustain client relationships, manage scope, and support proposals for new opportunities.
• Contract & Project Oversight: plan, implement, supervise client contracts, and travel to client facilities as needed.
