Job summary

Enercon Services, Inc. seeks a Principal Engineering Project Manager to lead engineering projects for data centers, manage proposals, schedules, risk, and finances. You will guide engineers, designers, and subcontractors and travel as needed to client facilities.

The role requires 10+ years in engineering consulting or data center projects, PMP preferred, and strong leadership, communication, and budgeting skills. Remote in US with national travel expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or PMP Certification with 10 years in engineering consulting or data center projects.
• 6+ years as a PM or engineer in an engineering consulting firm doing data center projects.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Ideal candidate has worked with a hyperscale data center directly or indirectly as a consultant.
• Skilled in cost/workhour estimating and proposal development and review.
• Capable of reporting on and managing scope, schedule, and cost for multiple projects executing simultaneously.
• Knowledge in earned value management and progress reporting.
• Experience in contract and non-disclosure agreement language development and review.
• Ability to understand and work with budget and accounting processes.
• Strong coordination and team building skills.

• Client & Team Relations: Demonstrate professionalism and dedication, providing exceptional service to both clients and teammates.
• Project Leadership: Lead projects by collaborating with technical colleagues to develop detailed engineering proposals, managing schedules, and executing recovery plans.
• Project Planning & Execution: Develop comprehensive work plans, risk management strategies, communication plans, and work breakdown structures.
• Scheduling & Financial Management: Oversee project schedules, apply advanced scheduling tools, and manage the financial health of projects.
• Team & Resource Management: Manage engineers, designers, and subcontractors, ensuring quality deliverables.
• Client & Business Development: Maintain strong client relationships, manage project scope, and support marketing efforts.
• Contract & Project Oversight: Plan, implement, and supervise client contracts, ensuring successful project execution, while traveling to client facilities as needed.
