HP Inc. in Spring, TX seeks an experienced Engineering Program Lead to guide cross-functional teams through complex projects, driving engineering development and successful implementation of subsystems.

You will manage budgets, schedules, and resource plans while mitigating risks and mentoring junior staff. Ideal candidates bring 4–7 years in engineering program management, strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and PM tools like JIRA.

Qualifications

Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
Typically has 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in engineering development and implementation, project planning tools and software packages, people management, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.

Responsibilities

Lead teams/projects to solve common and complex business issues by leveraging developed subject matter knowledge.
Manages and leads a program involving one or more functions and project teams to drive engineering development and implementation for a subsystem or component.
Leads moderate to high complexity projects, delivering professionally written reports, and supports the realization of operational and strategic plans.
Understands technical concepts, architecture, systems, development methods, and disciplines associated with the defined program to accelerate completion.
Leads deployment, launch, and continuous improvement of new technologies and process automation within the company’s worldwide engineering team.
Develops schedules, budgets, resource allocation plans, logistics, and other support requirements for assigned program with company and contract manufacturing teams.
Coordinates activities of supporting project teams and internal/external development partners; tracks progress and updates plans as needed.
Communicates program progress, escalations, and issue analysis to stakeholders; collaborates to implement changes to product/process/program plan.
Leads bug tracking resolution and reporting of program risks and options to executive management.
Solves difficult problems with fresh perspective and good judgment; mentors less-experienced staff.
