Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Manager Engineering 2 Support Equipment in Palmdale, CA. The role leads design engineers, drives equipment processes, and collaborates with leadership and customers to optimize procurement and cost behavior. A Secret clearance is required, and travel up to 25% is expected.

The role demands a strong background in design engineering, team leadership, and program management with on-site work and a 9/80 schedule when available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline with 9 years of related engineering experience; OR Master's in STEM with 7 years; OR PhD in STEM with 5 years.
• Experience in design engineering.
• Active U.S. Government issued Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
• Ability to obtain and maintain initial SAP access via a PAR, prior to commencement.
• Ability to obtain and maintain subsequent SAP PARs following commencement to support the statement of work.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of design engineers creating/identifying/maintaining support equipment.
• Guide engineers in career development and gain skills critical to success.
• Interact with leadership and customer stakeholders to improve the efficiency and cost effectiveness of support equipment processes and procurement.
