Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Support Equipment Engineering Manager 2 in Melbourne, FL. This full-time role leads a team responsible for design, build, test, and procurement of E-2C/D Hawkeye Support Equipment for USN and FMS customers, with ~10% travel and Secret clearance requirement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in STEM with 7–9+ years related experience leading mechanical/electrical design, manufacturing, and test.
• Experience in proposal writing and estimating.
• Hands-on knowledge of IPT/Program Management processes (CAM, scheduling, cost control, EVMS, staffing, risk management).

Responsibilities

• Manage design concepts and lead design reviews.
• Mentor development of test documentation.
• Oversee integration, validation, and verification activities.
• Coordinate with suppliers and customers to ensure alignment.
• Develop and execute program schedules and budgets.
• Plan and manage EVMS for assigned work packages.
• Report program performance to leadership.
• Support proposal and estimating activities.
• Provide oversight of projects and tasks in the organizational group.
• Intervene to meet schedules and resolve issues.
• Maintain frequent contact with internal/external stakeholders.
• Conduct briefings and technical meetings.
• Provide staffing and performance guidance to employees.
