Job summary
Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Palmdale, CA, is seeking an Aeronautics Engineer - Responsible RE to join the team onsite. The role requires a Secret clearance and entails leading a subsystem engineering effort across design, integration, verification, and sustainment.
You will provide technical oversight to software and hardware teams, produce architecture diagrams, ICDs, and verification artefacts, and drive verification activities, including tests and certifications.
Qualifications
- Degree in STEM with 2+ years of related engineering experience or Master's with 0 years.
- Strong technical communication skills and ability to produce technical artifacts.
- Experience with development, design, or sustainment of electronic systems.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Responsible Engineer for an electrical subsystem across design, integration, verification, and sustainment.
- Provide technical guidance to software and test teams including architecture and design.
- Produce and maintain architecture diagrams, ICDs, requirements, and verification reports.
- Lead verification activities including test plans, simulations, HIL, and flight tests.
- Coordinate with systems, test, software, mechanical, and supplier teams and report status.
