Job summary

CLEAResult in the Midwest is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a 10-15 engineer team across 85+ gas and electric programs, focusing on CO, IA, IL, IN, KS, MN, MO, WI. You will guide technical work, ensure quality delivery, and grow our capability in energy efficiency and emissions reduction.

You will mentor talent, manage budgets, and collaborate with senior leadership to align scope and strategic goals, while traveling up to 25% for client meetings and project support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, civil or environmental engineering.
• 10+ years of energy efficiency and/or sustainability consulting experience.
• 8+ years of people management experience.
• Strong communication and leadership capabilities.
• Experience with energy modeling tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across audits, HVAC, M&V, RCx and related areas.
• Lead team engagement, tool updates, and client-facing communications.
• Manage workloads, budgets, and resource planning for timely delivery.
• Mentor engineers and foster career growth within the team.
• Develop scopes of work and budgets for new opportunities.
• Build strategic relationships with engineering leadership and clients.
