Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a senior software engineering leader to guide the Core Automation team in building AI-powered, multi-tenant systems that automate compliance and scale across the organization.

You will mentor managers, shape technical strategy, and partner with product, design, and leadership to deliver a measurable impact on customer experience and shareholder value.

Role requires deep hands-on experience with distributed systems and cloud architectures.

Qualifications

• Ten years in software engineering.
• Five+ years in management and two+ years managing managers.
• Experience building high-quality, scalable software and engineering processes.

Responsibilities

• Explore and apply advanced GenAI techniques (LLMs, Agentic AI) to solve challenges across the org.
• Partner with Operations and Compliance to maximize impact.
• Build and lead engineering teams in the Compliance domain to guide feature development.
• Plan, design, develop, and test software systems including cloud-based tools.
• Design scalable systems using modern cloud tech and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to translate vision into a quarterly roadmap.
