Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager on the Core Automation team to lead the engineering organization building Agentic AI systems that transform how Coinbase operates. You will recruit and mentor engineers, define the multi-quarter roadmap, and partner with Compliance and Operations to deliver automation that moves the business forward.

You will oversee production AI systems with guardrails and grounding, ensure reliability and auditability, and drive delivery across multiple

Qualifications

10+ years in software engineering with at least 5 years of management experience.
Experience shipping LLM-based or Agentic AI applications to production.
Hands-on ability to review code and guide system design.
Cross-functional collaboration with Compliance and Operations.
Experience in compliance or financial crimes domains.
Strong focus on guardrails, grounding, and AI evaluation.
