Invitation Homes seeks a Sr. Engineering Manager to lead a software development organization across multiple teams, translating strategy into actionable plans and driving coordinated execution of the engineering roadmap.
The ideal candidate will balance deep technical skills with leadership, communication, and coaching to foster a high-performing, innovative engineering culture and deliver impactful projects.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional development experience.
- 3+ years of experience managing or leading an engineering team.
- Experience working in agile development environment.
- Deep understanding of software engineering principles and concepts.
- Deep technical skills in one or more areas: JavaScript development, database technologies (MSSQL, Postgres, DynamoDB), AWS serverless, CI/CD, Salesforce.
Responsibilities
- Translate business strategies into a technical roadmap aligned across multiple engineering teams.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Delivery to prepare projects, identify risks and priorities.
- Architect, document, and communicate system architecture, APIs, and interfaces with third parties.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performing culture that encourages creativity and accountability.
- Coach and mentor teams to grow and deliver high-quality technical projects.
- Monitor engineering performance and drive improvements across teams.
- Stay current with technology trends and participate in internal and external tech groups.
