Job summary

Total Expert is seeking an experienced engineering leader to join its Product and Engineering organization as Senior Manager, Software Engineering. You will lead engineering teams responsible for delivering value to customers, collaborating with Product leadership to set priorities and technical direction, and staying hands-on in architectural discussions.

We value coaching, hands-on problem solving, and AI-assisted development tooling.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in a team-based event-driven distributed microservices environment.
• 5+ years managing a software team and providing technical direction.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering leaders to set priorities and technical direction.
• Participate in architectural discussions and design reviews with hands-on input.
• Coach team members on problem analysis, estimation, design, development, and testing in Agile environments.
• Drive Agile development processes with focus on quality and lean principles.
• Champion AI-assisted development practices and tooling to improve productivity and quality.
• Support department-level objectives and improve velocity and software quality for customers.
• Mentor team members and expand domain knowledge across Total Expert platform.
