AlphaSense in New York is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the AI Platform, overseeing the AI Gateway that routes high‑throughput LLM traffic across our ecosystem. The role requires deep distributed‑systems expertise and strong cross‑functional collaboration.

You will mentor senior engineers across North America, shape architecture and governance, and guide multi‑vendor integrations to optimize latency, cost, and reliability in a fast‑moving AI driven environment.

Qualifications

• Proven track record leading senior engineers and growing technical leaders.
• Experience designing, building, and operating high-throughput distributed systems.
• Strong architectural judgment and ability to influence cross-functional partners.
• Excellent stakeholder communication across R&D and product teams.
• Experience integrating AI tooling into developer workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a distributed team of up to 10 senior and staff engineers.
• Foster a high-performance culture of technical excellence and predictable delivery.
• Own the strategy and architecture of the enterprise AI Gateway with high throughput and low latency.
• Coordinate multi-vendor integrations across 6+ vendors and 50+ models.
• Partner with product, AI research, and executive leads to align roadmap.
