Job summary

Total Expert is seeking an experienced engineering leader to guide its Product and Engineering organization, expanding and supporting the Total Expert platform. You will lead an engineering team, collaborate with Product, set technical direction, and stay hands-on in architectural discussions, ensuring high-quality software through Agile practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
5+ years in a team-based event-driven distributed microservices environment.
5+ years managing a software team and providing technical direction.
Experience leading groups of software and quality engineering members using Agile/Lean (Scrum/Kanban).
Familiarity with AI-assisted development tooling (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) and integrating AI into workflows.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Product and Engineering leaders to set priorities and provide technical direction.
Participate in architectural discussions and design reviews with hands-on contribution.
Coach team members on problem analysis, estimation, software design, development, and testing in Agile methodologies.
Drive Agile processes focusing on quality and lean principles.
Champion AI-assisted development practices to improve productivity and quality.
