Responsibilities include creating design layouts, evaluating manufacturability, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver complex assemblies while adhering to ASME standards and GD&T practices.

Qualifikationen

• U.S. citizen with Top Secret clearance and ability to obtain SAP approval within business needs
• 12+ years of relevant engineering experience (or 10+ with MS)
• 3 years experience with 3D CAD modeling tools
• 3 years experience developing and releasing engineering models and drawings
• 3 years experience developing model-based engineering Digital Product Definition Packages
• Experience with CAD in a PLM system and ASME drawing standards
• Familiarity with GD&T interpretation

Aufgaben

• Designs major components or major portions of a functional system to develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing operations
• Develops basic data and preliminary layouts, sketches, and notes for design proposals
• Investigates design factors such as manufacturability, materials, interchangeability, strength-weight, and cost
• Coordinates with other organizations affected by design development
• Makes layouts of complex assemblies and components
• Identifies design errors and proposes revisions to responsible engineers
