Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Principal or Senior Principal Engineering Design to join our team in Annapolis, MD. The role focuses on Model Based Definition in NX with experience in Teamcenter within the Design Services group.

The ideal candidate will hold a STEM degree with extensive CAD/PLM experience, strong communication, and the ability to obtain/maintain SAP/Top Secret clearance. Salary ranges reflect Principal roles with potential for growth and supplemental benefits.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant STEM field with required years of experience; or MS degree with fewer years
U.S. citizen with a Secret clearance and ability to obtain Top Secret clearance with SAP approval
3 years experience with 3D CAD modeling tools
3 years experience developing/releasing engineering models and drawings
Experience with model-based engineering Digital Product Definition Packages and ASME standards

Responsibilities

Designs major components or portions of a system to develop products and support manufacturing
Develops data, layouts, sketches, and notes for design proposals
Assesses manufacturability, materials availability, interchangeability, cost and specs
Coordinates with other organizations involved in design development
Prepares layouts of complex assemblies and checks for design errors and revisions
