Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Principal/Senior Principal Engineering Design in Annapolis, MD to develop major components and advance model-based definitions using NX and Teamcenter in a collaborative design services group.

The role requires experience with 3D CAD, ASME standards, GD&T, and strong cross-organizational communication. U.S. citizenship with Secret clearance and SAP eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 5+ years of relevant experience; or MS with 3+ years
• Top Secret clearance with SAP access within a reasonable period
• 3D CAD modeling tools experience and releasing engineering models/drawings
• Experience with model-based engineering and Digital Product Definition Packages
• Experience in CAD/PLM tools and ASME drawing standards

Responsibilities

• Design major components or portions of a functional system
• Develop preliminary layouts, sketches, and notes for design proposals
• Investigate design factors like manufacturability and materials
• Coordinate with other organizations affected by design development
• Create layouts for complex assemblies and parts
• Identify design errors and recommend revisions to engineers
