Chesapeake Utilities Corporation is seeking a Lead Engineer to design and oversee natural gas pipeline, station and specialty projects. You will provide expert advice on PHMSA, FERC, and DOT requirements and lead training across the engineering team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• 12+ years of experience in a similar capacity.
• PE license and professional certificates or equivalent.
• Ability to review engineering plans and ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manages and designs natural gas pipeline, station and related projects.
• Advices on PHMSA, FERC, DOT; stays current with codes and changes.
• Develops and leads training for all engineering levels.
• Identifies and implements engineering process improvements.
• Performs technical reviews of engineering designs for complexity.
• Develops calculations, specifications, requisitions, sketches and drawings.
• Analyzes quotes and orders pipes, valves and equipment.
• Manages permits with federal, state and local authorities.
• Leads internal and external engineering meetings.
• Develops project proposals and evaluates contractor bids.
• Creates scoping documents and provides training materials.
• Supports department process enhancements.
