Chesapeake Utilities Corporation seeks a Lead Engineer to design and lead training programs for the Engineering Team, driving process improvements and policy development to streamline operations.

The role provides expert engineering guidance on PHMSA, FERC, DOT codes, manages cross-functional design of gas pipeline, station, and compressor projects, and leads reviews with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• PE license and professional certifications related to engineering and project management.
• Ability to interpret and review engineering plans and permit requirements.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles and construction/operations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop training programs for the engineering team.
• Identify and implement process improvements across the department.
• Provide expert guidance on industry codes (PHMSA, FERC, DOT).
• Write policies and procedures to streamline operations.
• Lead internal and external engineering meetings and reviews.
• Develop project proposals and assist with contractor evaluations.
