Job summary

Chesapeake Utilities Corporation is seeking a Lead Engineer to drive design of natural gas pipeline, station and specialty projects and to develop training programs for the Engineering Team. The role requires a PE license, 12 years' experience and strong knowledge of PHMSA, FERC and DOT codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• Twelve (12) years' experience in a similar capacity.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license and related certs (PMI, NACE, API, GTI or similar).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and business tools.
• Ability to review engineering plans and manage permits and status.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of natural gas pipeline, stations and specialty projects (LNG, RNG, compressors).
• Provide expert-level guidance on PHMSA, FERC, DOT and code changes to leadership and team.
• Develop and lead training programs for all levels of engineering staff.
• Identify and implement process improvements for the engineering team.
• Perform technical reviews of engineering designs and drawings.
• Develop project proposals, scoping documents and manage internal/external meetings.
