Job summary

Chesapeake Utilities Corporation seeks a Lead Engineer to join our engineering team. This hybrid role covers DE, PA, OH, MD or FL with 10-20% travel, focusing on training, process improvement and compliance with industry codes.

The ideal candidate will design pipelines and stations, lead engineering reviews, and mentor others while staying current with PHMSA, FERC, and DOT requirements. A PE license and relevant certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required.
• 12 years' experience in a similar capacity.
• Valid driver's license.
• PE license and relevant certifications (PMI, NACE, API, GTI) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design, manage and develop pipelines, stations and related projects.
• Provide expert guidance on PHMSA, FERC, DOT and code changes.
• Develop, lead and mentor training for all engineering levels.
• Identify and implement process improvements within the department.
• Review engineering plans, calculations, drawings and permits.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders and lead meetings.
