Job summary

Chesapeake Utilities Corporation seeks a Lead Engineer to design natural gas pipeline, station and specialty projects and to lead training programs for the Engineering Team. You will provide expert level guidance on industry codes (PHMSA, FERC, DOT) and drive continuous process improvements across the department.

The role requires a PE license, 12 years’ experience, and the ability to work in a hybrid, multi-state environment with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
• Twelve (12) years' experience in a similar capacity
• Proven ability to work independently in a diverse environment
• Valid Driver's license
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and permit requirements

Responsibilities

• Manages and develops the design of natural gas pipeline, station and specialty projects (LNG, RNG, compressor stations).
• Provides expert level advice on PHMSA, FERC, DOT codes and communicates updates to leadership and team.
• Develops, implements and leads training for all levels of engineering staff.
• Identifies process improvements and implements enhancements.
• Performs technical reviews of engineering design plans across project complexities.
