Job summary

Chesapeake Utilities Corporation is seeking a Lead Engineer for a hybrid role across DE, PA, OH, MD or FL with 10-20% travel. The successful candidate will lead engineering training programs, drive process improvements, and ensure compliance with PHMSA, FERC, DOT and other codes.

Expect collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and strong policy writing capabilities. The role requires a PE license, broad experience in natural gas projects, and the ability to lead meetings and develop

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• 12 years' experience in a similar capacity.
• Valid driver's license.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license and related certificates.

Responsibilities

• Manages and develops the design of natural gas pipeline, station and specialty projects.
• Provides expert level advice with PHMSA, FERC, DOT code knowledge and updates to leadership and team.
• Develops, implements and leads training for all levels of engineering staff.
• Identifies potential process improvements and implements them.
• Performs technical reviews of engineering design plans for various project complexities.
• Develops calculations, equipment specifications, requisitions, sketches and drawings.
• Reviews quotes and orders pipe, valves and equipment.
