Job summary

Performance Review Institute (PRI) in the United States seeks a Principal Engineer to provide technical and engineering management across standards and technical reports. You will facilitate working groups, develop proposals for statements of work, and support marketing, certification, and reference materials while aligning with strategic programs.

Ideal candidate has extensive automotive/engineering background, strong PM skills, and global/cultural awareness to coordinate multiple committees

Qualifications

• 6 years' experience in automotive or automated vehicle engineering, project management, project engineering, or technical management roles.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality, science, or business management.
• Experience with standards use, development, or auditing in automotive industry.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills, with excellent writing, editing, and presentation abilities.
• Ability to organize, work on multiple tasks, and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong project management and collaboration skills.
• Global and cultural sensitivities.
• Attention to detail.
• Understanding of trade association operations.

Responsibilities

• Applies technical/engineering expertise in project management and product development.
• Develops statements of work for new and revised standards and technical reports.
• Plans and conducts technical meetings and facilitates sessions.
• Supports conference planning and marketing materials where applicable.
• Supports leadership committees and implements process improvements.
• Identifies gaps or problems and reports to management; participates in user-experience research.
• Ensures alignment of programs with deadlines, goals, and milestones.
