Job summary

Performance Review Institute (PRI) seeks a Principal Engineer to provide technical leadership and engineering management for standards and technical reports development. You will facilitate working groups, plan meetings, and support industry guidance across SAE ITC and PRI collaborations.

Strong PM, writing, and stakeholder skills are essential to drive programs in automotive standards and certification activities.

Qualifications

6 years' experience in automotive or automated vehicle engineering, project management, project engineering, or technical management roles.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality, science, or business management.
Technical/engineering expertise with experience in standards use, development, or auditing.
Strong interpersonal and communications skills with excellent writing and presentation abilities.
Ability to organize, handle multiple assignments, and maintain confidentiality.
Strong project management skills and global/cultural sensitivity.
Attention to detail and strong teamwork.

Responsibilities

Facilitates and manages working groups and user forums producing guidance, standards and reports.
Develops proposals for statements of work for standards and reports.
Supports project plans, technical activity integration, and report generation.
Oversees technical reports, ensures confidentiality, and closes non-conformances for timely release.
Writes agendas/minutes, coordinates meetings, and supports program communications.
Plans and conducts meetings, seminars, and industry conference sessions.
Supports annual strategic plan alignment and program milestones.
