Performance Review Institute (PRI) seeks a Principal Engineer to provide technical leadership and engineering management for standards and technical report development. You will coordinate working groups, prepare proposals, and guide cross-functional teams across automotive/industrial domains.

The role involves facilitating meetings, planning conferences, and supporting strategic programs while ensuring confidentiality and regulatory compliance. Travel up to 30% may be required.

Qualifications

  • 6 years' experience in automotive or automated vehicle engineering, project management, project engineering, or technical management roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality, science, or business management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills with analytical, writing, editing, and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to organize, carry out independent action, work on simultaneous assignments, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Global and cultural sensitivities.
  • Understanding of trade association operations.

Responsibilities

  • Applies job specific technical/ engineering expertise in project management and product development.
  • Develop proposals for statements of work for new and revised standards & technical reports.
  • Coordinate responses to industry comments and represent subcommittees in meetings.
  • Prepare materials and facilitate technical sessions and seminars.
  • Plan technical sessions at Industry Conferences & Technical Meetings and support marketing materials.
  • Support leadership committees and implement process improvements.
  • Identify gaps and report to management; participate in user-experience research.
  • Support the program strategic plan with deadlines, goals, and milestones.
