Job summary

The AES Corporation seeks a Senior Development Engineer to drive solar PV and BESS project development across the US and internationally. You will perform preliminary design evaluation, technical due diligence, and respond to RFPs from utilities and municipalities, for projects from 2MW to 500MW.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in renewable energy development, strong modeling/CAD skills (PVSYST, Helioscope, AutoCAD), and the ability to collaborate with Business Development, Execution, and Finance

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering or equivalent technical field.
• 5+ years of renewable energy project development, design, analysis and construction.
• Proficiency with modeling tools such as PVSYST, Helioscope, HOMER, SAM and Plant Predict.

Responsibilities

• Energy production modeling for projects in development (PVSYST, Helioscope, Plant Predict).
• Site evaluation (remote and in-person) for project suitability.
• Support for RFPs and development activities with technical deliverables.
