Job summary

Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) seeks a Senior Engineer – Generator Interconnection to evaluate generation across the MISO footprint and manage power system studies that determine how new resources can reliably interconnect to the transmission system. This role blends engineering analysis with stakeholder coordination.

You will serve as a technical resource for interconnection customers, Transmission Owners, and neighboring RTOs, and may act as project manager for system impact

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
At least 4 years of job-related experience.
Experience with power system planning or operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

Manage and perform system impact studies for generator interconnection requests in MISO’s Generator Interconnection Queue.
Evaluate reliability impacts of connecting new resources to the transmission system.
Communicate study results and requirements to customers, Transmission Owners, and neighboring RTOs.
