Job summary

Midcontinent-Independent-System is seeking a Senior Engineer – Generator Interconnection to evaluate generation connections and perform power system studies for reliability on the transmission grid. You’ll manage studies, coordinate with stakeholders, and act as a technical resource for interconnection customers and Transmission Owners.

The role emphasizes project ownership, strong technical analysis, and customer interaction across the MISO footprint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with power system planning or operations (preferred).
• Experience with PSS/E, MUST, TARA, TSAT, VSAT (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Manage and perform generator interconnection system impact studies.
• Provide recommendations based on power system analysis.
• Serve as SME and coordinate studies from kickoff to completion.
• Communicate study results to interconnection customers and internal teams.
