Job summary

Pratt & Whitney CDS is seeking a Senior Engineer to join the Engine System Software organization, focusing on the development and certification of military and commercial gas turbine engine control and diagnostic systems. This onsite role in East Hartford, CT requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S.

government security clearance. You will participate in requirements analysis, system and software architecture, algorithm design, product software development, verification and validation,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM required; 5 years engineering experience or an advanced degree with 3 years experience.
• Experience in agile software development, and proficiency with scripting or embedded languages.
• Prior safety-critical software development and knowledge of DO-178B is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and/or lead support software tools in a DevSecOps pipeline.
• Participate in process improvements and trade studies.
• Create software requirements and designs within Agile framework.
• Perform software verification and participate in Agile ceremonies.
• Assist as Scrum Master, Product Owner, or part of the development team.
