Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer to join our Power Thermal Management Systems discipline at the East Hartford site.

You'll work on multidisciplinary IPTs to architect and integrate advanced control and safety features for military gas turbine engines. This on-site role requires a STEM degree and several years of experience in reliability and safety analysis, with exposure to DOORS, MBSE, MATLAB/Simulink, and DO-178/DO-254 style standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM
• 5 years of engineering experience or 3 years with an advanced degree

Responsibilities

• Participate in IPTs to develop embedded, real-time control systems for military gas turbine engine applications.
• Collaborate with control, engine, and aircraft design engineers.
• Coordinate safety analyses including FHA/SSA with airframe customers.
• Develop reliability and safety mitigation requirements to ensure fault-tolerant control systems.
