Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, an RTX company, seeks a Software Quality Assurance professional for onsite work in East Hartford, CT. You will audit software development, verification and QA to DO-178B/C, ARP-4754, and related standards, approving deliverables for military and commercial programs.

You will support external audits by customers and regulators, generate QA records, and partner with teams to resolve non-conformances and improve processes, ensuring timely, compliant software releases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or EE or related field and 5+ years in avionics software.
• 3+ years with RTCA DO-178B/C, DO-330/331/332 and ARP-4754 certifications.
• Experience with ARINC communications and embedded C.

Responsibilities

• Audit software development, verification and QA to DO-178B/C standards.
• Approve software planning documents and deliverables for military and commercial.
• Execute process assurance for system lifecycle activities.
• Support external audits by customers and regulators (FAA, AS9100).
• Generate Software Quality Assurance records in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with development teams to resolve non-conformances and drive improvements.
