Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, headquartered at RTX, is seeking a Control System Engine Airframe Integration Principal Engineer to lead on a military development program at the East Hartford, CT campus. The role focuses on engine-airframe integration, requirements management, and system verification throughout the product life cycle.

The candidate will collaborate with airframers, apply agile practices, and drive critical milestones while ensuring compliance with IP/export regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
• 8 years of engineering experience or 5 years with an advanced degree

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage control system and airframe interface requirements.
• Analyze, decompose, validate, and document functional requirements.
• Plan software release content with airframer and internal customers; develop integration milestones.
• Coordinate verification plans for Engine/Airframe Interface Requirements; support integration.
• Lead meetings and design reviews; coordinate TIMs and CIPT activities.
• Identify and mitigate system-level risks; track burndowns.
• Assess customer impact of open problems and coordinate root cause investigations.
