Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Electrical Superintendent to oversee BESS construction and ensure safe, successful project execution. The role is based on a full-time jobsite in the Southwest with travel across multiple projects in the region.

The position requires strong leadership of field teams, adherence to quality plans, and hands-on management of schedules, safety, and project execution for utility-scale energy storage installations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day field operations of energy storage projects.
• Mentor superintendents, assistant superintendents, craft personnel and junior staff.
• Assign tasks, delegate responsibilities, and train team members.
• Hire and develop craft labor employees.
• Develop and implement operations procedures and tools for continuous improvement.
• Ensure adherence to the Energy Storage Division's Quality Control plan.
• Conduct site visits to assess progress and adherence to policies.
• Foster a safety-first culture, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Support creation of project schedules, labor/equipment plans, sequencing and execution.
• Review design documents for constructability and feedback.
• Support development of Bill of Materials takeoffs.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, estimating and internal departments.
• Communicate with stakeholders including owners, utilities, regulators, vendors, contractors.
• Track status, performance metrics and updates to senior management.
• Enforce safety procedures and participate in Safety Training Program.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback for development.
