Job summary

CMTA, a Legence Company, is seeking an experienced Engineer to expand our reach in new markets within the Energy Solutions division. You will lead performance contracting efforts, oversee site audits, energy calculations, and drawings, and coordinate with clients through the entire project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in energy services or commissioning, a degree from an ABET-accredited program, and a track record of building long-term client partnerships.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience with an Energy Services company OR a consulting engineering/commissioning firm.
• Undergrad degree in engineering from ABET accredited university.

Responsibilities

• Introduce and explain performance contracting to potential clients, identifying opportunities where CMTA’s solutions can provide long-term value.
• Articulate CMTA's unique approach to performance contracting and reinforce value proposition in technical and financial terms.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to foster repeat business and referrals.
• Participate in business development efforts including client meetings, industry events, and proposal development.
• Lead the development phase including site visits, audits, and energy calculations.
• Direct the engineering design team in producing drawings and specifications.
• Direct the bidding process to ensure quality and competitive outcomes.
• Collaborate with the client to finalize the performance contract.
• Work with the construction manager to ensure a smooth construction period.
• Direct the commissioning process to validate performance.
• Support the client through the warranty phase as needed.
• Work with M&V professionals to develop the first-year M&V report.
• Demonstrate knowledge of state-specific K-12 design-build procurement processes.
