Job summary

Energy Systems Group is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to qualify, pursue, and secure new business in the Virginia and Mid-Atlantic region. This virtual role requires 50% travel, including overnights, and focuses on Efficiency, Resiliency, and Sustainability solutions for utilities, public sector, and commercial customers.

You will work with utility partners, SMEs, and sales teams to target opportunities, craft value-based solutions, and drive new orders while aligning with client

Qualifications

• Ten or more years of consultative sales experience in energy services, sustainable infrastructure, or resiliency solutions.
• Experience with state and federal procurement mechanisms (Design-build, ESPC, P3, ESA).
• Ability to write proposals, reports, and business correspondence.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with managers, utility leaders, and clients.

Responsibilities

• Qualify, pursue, and secure new business with utility, state, local, and municipal targets in the Mid-Atlantic.
• Understand utility objectives and align ESG solutions to client needs.
• Collaborate with SMEs to develop solutions addressing business challenges and demonstrate ESG value.
• Identify contract approaches and leverage incentives/grants where possible.
• Balance priorities and budgets with measurable project success.
