Job summary

Meta’s Global Energy Team is seeking an experienced energy professional to manage clean and renewable energy contracts across construction, development, and operation phases. You will own contract compliance, support negotiations, track project progress, and coordinate amendments with legal, finance, and procurement.

The role requires 5+ years in energy contract management, strong data analysis, and experience with renewable energy projects, virtual PPAs, and AI-enabled workflows.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, energy or environmental science, paralegal studies or similar.
  • 5+ years of experience in energy contract management, energy project development, or energy operations with an electric utility, energy supplier, project developer, or energy-intensive industrial or consumer company.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of renewable energy projects and understanding performance metrics.
  • Experience drafting official correspondence between counterparties and experience developing and maintaining partnerships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience with G-Suite, Salesforce, AI tooling.
  • Experience in building cross-functional relationships and managing 3rd Party Vendors.
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting energy generation data, virtual PPAs, green tariffs, and wholesale energy market data.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the ongoing owner for all of Meta's operational renewable energy contract requirements
  • Create, maintain, update and track documents and data related to renewable energy projects
  • Track counterparty compliance with contract deliverables
  • Review invoicing and reporting for renewable energy project contracts, and ensure that RECs, costs and project performance are consistent with contract terms and conditions
  • Respond to counterparty inquiries and manage contract amendments, collateral, force majeure claims, and other issues, as needed
  • Manage approval and signature process for contract documents after execution
  • Surface and resolve issues in ongoing contracts and project operations
  • Coordinate with legal counsel, finance, accounting, purchasing, accounts payable/receivable and other key stakeholders
