Job summary

Meta’s Global Energy Team is seeking an experienced energy professional to manage clean and renewable energy contracts as well as carbon reduction contracts throughout the construction, development, and operational project phases.

In this role, you will own a portfolio of renewable energy contracts, oversee compliance, support negotiations, monitor development and construction progress, and maintain contract data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, energy or environmental science, paralegal studies or similar.
• 5+ years of experience in energy contract management, energy project development, or energy operations with an electric utility, energy supplier, project developer, or energy-intensive industrial or consumer company.
• Experience managing a portfolio of renewable energy projects and understanding performance metrics.
• Experience drafting official correspondence between counterparties and experience developing and maintaining partnerships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Experience with G-Suite, Salesforce, AI tooling.
• Experience building cross-functional relationships and managing 3rd Party Vendors.
• Experience analyzing and interpreting energy generation data, virtual PPAs, green tariffs, and wholesale energy market data.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the ongoing owner for all of Meta's operational renewable energy contract requirements
• Create, maintain and track documents and data related to renewable energy projects
• Track counterparty compliance with contract deliverables
• Review invoicing and reporting for renewable energy contracts, ensuring costs and RECs align with terms
• Respond to counterparty inquiries and manage contract amendments, collateral, force majeure claims, and other issues
• Manage approval and signature process for contract documents after execution
• Surface and resolve issues in ongoing contracts and project operations
• Coordinate with legal, finance, accounting, purchasing, accounts payable/receivable and other key stakeholders
