Job summary

Leidos Engineering LLC is seeking a Senior Energy Engineer to support Ameren Illinois energy efficiency initiatives. The role emphasizes reviewing incentive applications, assessing energy systems, and delivering practical solutions with contractors and project engineers.

The ideal candidate brings 6+ years in energy efficiency, a bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, and strong Excel and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, business, or related field with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in energy efficiency or similar technologies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
• Ability to work cooperatively on a technical team and communicate clearly.
• Strong planning, organization and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Review energy efficiency incentive applications for Ameren Illinois customers.
• Evaluate HVAC, lighting, compressed air, and energy management systems.
• Research technology changes to improve energy efficiency programs.
• Maintain knowledge of Illinois Technical Reference Manual and concepts.
• Review energy savings methods for quality control and improvements.
• Verify technical requirements with independent judgment.
• Coordinate guidance to energy efficiency program teams.
