Job summary

Leidos Engineering LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Energy Engineer to join our team remotely. The role focuses on energy efficiency applications, energy auditing, and communicating technical issues with project teams, contractors, suppliers, and engineers.

The position involves reviewing incentives, analyzing energy systems in industrial and commercial markets, staying current on energy standards, and guiding supporting teams on energy efficiency programs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Economics, Business Administration or related, with 6+ years of relevant experience.
Prior experience in energy efficiency or similar technologies.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
Must be able to work cooperatively on a technical team and communicate clearly.
Strong planning, organization, time management and team-building skills.

Responsibilities

Reviewing energy efficiency applications for incentives and rebates for Ameren Illinois customers.
Review different types of energy systems in industrial/commercial markets (HVAC, Lighting, compressed air, energy management systems).
Research technology changes to support improvements to energy efficiency programs.
Maintain knowledge of Illinois Technical Reference Manual and energy efficiency concepts.
Review existing energy savings methods for quality control/improvements.
Coordinate and guide supporting teams regarding energy efficiency programs.
