Job summary
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or related field of study
- 5–8 years of engineering experience
- Expert knowledge of refrigeration, compressed air systems, steam systems, electrical distribution, data-logging of system results
- Experience in energy efficiency in commercial and/or industrial facilities
- Experience doing retro-commissioning (RCx)
- Experience with Strategic Energy Management (SEM)
- Strong critical thinking and project management skills
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage high-profile energy projects, mentoring peers through technical discussions and reviews
- Quantify energy savings from system changes using established tools and methodologies
- Visit industrial facilities to identify energy-efficiency opportunities and engage clients
- Present complex technical topics clearly to diverse audiences to build understanding
- Collect data, write energy-efficiency project reports, and maintain program compliance
