Job summary

Franklin Energy in Grand Rapids is seeking a field-based Energy Advisor to provide expert guidance to homeowners, landlords, and building owners, coordinating energy efficiency program delivery and identifying opportunities for improvements.

The role blends field work (approximately 3 days on site to 2 days in the office each week) with office tasks, including presenting to stakeholders, engaging trade allies, and supporting customers through rebate processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
• 3–5 years in the electric or natural gas utility industry or related fields.
• Experience managing staff performing proactive customer outreach activities.
• 2–3 years in energy efficiency and/or energy modeling.
• Previous customer service, sales, or marketing experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct installation of energy saving products as directed by program management.
• Promote the energy efficiency program to customers, trade allies and program stakeholders within your assigned territory.
• Make outbound calls to existing customers to meet energy saving targets.
• Manage field time effectively with customer, Trade Ally and program stakeholder visits; develop and deliver presentations.
• Respond to customer inquiries and concerns by phone, electronically or in person to move projects towards completion.
• Assist Program Manager in training of new team members.
