Job summary

Whitley Penn, one of the nation's leading audit, tax, and advisory firms, is seeking an Energy-AC Senior Associate in Dallas to lead engagements in oil & gas accounting. The role focuses on planning, supervision, and timely client communication within the Energy-AC team.

The position requires 3–5 years of energy accounting experience, Upstream/E&P knowledge, and CPA eligibility if possible. It is an in-office, full-time role with a Monday–Friday schedule and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of energy accounting experience.
• Oil & Gas Accounting Upstream/E&P experience required.
• CPA or CPA eligibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute client engagements, supervising associates and communicating with clients.
• Review daily receipts, revenue intake sheets, intercompany reports and monthly cycles.
• Prepare financial statements and monitor accounts payable/receivable.
• Coordinate monthly accounting processes and participate in training and development.
