Job summary

SmithRx is seeking a Staff Endpoint Engineer in Plano, TX to own the enterprise endpoint infrastructure and vendor ecosystem. You will shape the multi-year technology roadmap, drive zero-touch management, and align security with HIPAA and SOC 2 requirements.

You will mentor teams, set engineering standards, and partner with executive leadership to scale in a regulated, SaaS-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience in Systems Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, or IT Infrastructure Operations.
• Deep architectural expertise in Windows OS, EntraID, Intune, dynamic groups, and conditional access at scale.
• Experience managing strategic vendor partnerships and onboarding frameworks.
• Proven expertise deploying CloudPC (Windows 365) and Azure Virtual Desktop for remote/workforce.
• Advanced scripting: PowerShell and Python, with REST API integrations and iPaaS.
• End-to-end asset governance, hardware standards, and SaaS portfolio management.
• Experience with multi-platform environments (macOS, Google Workspace, Okta).
• Regulated environments: HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 27001 or equivalent.
• Executive communication: translate complex architecture for C-level stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define multi-year roadmaps and architectural standards for enterprise endpoint infra.
• Lead zero-touch provisioning and compliance models for rapid enterprise growth.
• Direct vendor strategy and onboarding frameworks for enterprise tech.
• Govern virtual desktops and remote environments for secure access.
• Establish asset lifecycle governance and licensing footprint optimization.
• Drive automation frameworks (PowerShell, Python, APIs) for identity and workflows.
• Lead RCAs and preventative actions for major incidents across IT estate.
• Align endpoint/cloud strategies with HIPAA/SOC 2/zero-trust compliance.
• Mentor engineers and raise technical standards across the org.
• Ensure high availability for business-critical operations.
