Job summary

SmithRx is seeking a visionary and highly strategic Staff Endpoint Engineer to serve as the overarching technical authority and architect for our enterprise endpoint infrastructure, vendor ecosystem, and IT asset strategy, while also serving as the senior most member of the IT team in our Plano, TX office.

In this high-impact role, you will define the multi-year technology roadmap for our endpoint environments, drive organizational alignment on vendor integrations, and architect our zero-touch,

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Systems Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, or IT Infrastructure Operations.
• Expert in Windows OS, Microsoft EntraID, Intune, and Autopilot at scale.
• Experience managing vendor partnerships, onboarding frameworks, and cross-functional alignment.
• Architecting CloudPC/AVD for remote and distributed workforces.
• Advanced scripting with PowerShell, Python, REST APIs for automation.

Responsibilities

• Define the enterprise Windows/modern workspace architecture and multi-year roadmap.
• Govern governance and optimization of Microsoft EntraID, Intune, and Autopilot.
• Lead vendor strategy and onboarding frameworks; align cross-functional units.
• Architect governance for CloudPC/AVD and third-party remote environments.
• Establish asset lifecycle governance and SaaS portfolio management.
• Lead automation initiatives to streamline identity/workflows across systems.
• Serve as escalation point for complex incidents and RCAs.
• Ensure HIPAA, SOC 2, and zero-trust alignment with IAM controls.
• Mentor teams and raise engineering standards across IT.
