Job summary

SmithRx in Plano, TX seeks a Staff Endpoint Engineer to serve as the overarching technical authority for our enterprise endpoint infrastructure, vendor ecosystem, and IT asset strategy. You will define the multi-year technology roadmap and drive zero-touch management at scale.

You will partner with executive leadership, Security, and Compliance to ensure HIPAA and SOC 2 compliance, set Windows/OS standards, mentor engineering teams, and lead incident RCA across the organization.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in systems engineering or IT architecture.
• Strong MS stack expertise incl. EntraID, Intune, Autopilot.
• Experience with CloudPC/AVD or VDI deployments.
• Regulated environment experience (HIPAA/SOC 2).

Responsibilities

• Define multi-year endpoint technology roadmap and security baselines.
• Lead zero-touch provisioning with Intune and Autopilot.
• Oversee vendor strategy and onboarding frameworks.
• Govern CloudPC/AVD and VDI environments for remote work.
• Establish asset governance and SaaS portfolio management.
• Build automation for identity workflows using PowerShell and Python.
• Lead RCAs and incident prevention across IT ecosystem.
• Align endpoint strategy with HIPAA, SOC 2 and zero-trust.
• Mentor IT staff and set engineering standards.
• Ensure high availability for critical operations.
