Job summary

SmithRx is seeking a visionary Staff Endpoint Engineer to lead our enterprise endpoint infrastructure in Plano, TX. You’ll define the multi-year technology roadmap, drive zero-touch workspace strategies, and partner with Security and Compliance to meet HIPAA and SOC 2 requirements.

You will mentor teams, set standards, and manage Windows, EntraID, Intune, and CloudPC/AVD environments at scale, enabling secure, compliant, and highly available operations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience in Systems Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, or IT Infrastructure Operations.
• Deep architectural expertise in Windows OS, EntraID, Intune, and Autopilot at scale.
• Experience managing vendor partnerships, onboarding frameworks, and cross-functional decisions.
• Proven ability to architect and govern CloudPC/AVD and remote work environments.
• Advanced scripting with PowerShell and Python; REST APIs integration.
• End-to-end asset governance, hardware standards, and SaaS portfolio management.
• Knowledge of multi-OS environments including macOS and Google Workspace.
• Regulated environment experience (HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 27001) preferred.
• Executive-level communication and strategic architecture planning.

Responsibilities

• Define the multi-year endpoint and workspace roadmap for global infrastructure.
• Lead design and governance of EntraID, Intune, and Autopilot for zero-touch provisioning.
• Direct vendor strategy, onboarding frameworks, and cross-functional alignment.
• Architect governance for CloudPC/AVD and third-party remote environments.
• Establish asset lifecycle governance and software licensing optimization.
• Develop automation frameworks (PowerShell, Python, APIs) for identity and workflows.
• Provide escalation leadership for major incidents and RCAs.
• Align endpoint strategies with HIPAA, SOC 2, and zero-trust controls.
• Mentor engineering teams and raise technical standards.
